Default Off to pick up the new boat

Well, I'm off to Chicago to pick up the "new" 302. I didn't sleep much last night. We'll hit Rush street tonight, throw down some brew and meet with the dealer tomorrow morning. If everything goes well, I plan to be back in the river by 3:00 tomorrow!!

Congrats.

Drive safe. I know exactly how you feel. The wife and I did not get a wink of sleep the Friday night before we were going to pick up the new boat.

It is a great time and a great experience. Don't rush it, just enjoy it.

Have a VERY NICE WEEKEND and don't forget to break the boat in if you know what I mean!

Mark

Well the weekend was awesome! We partied in Chicago Friday night and got the boat Saturday morning. It couldn't have been in better shape. The ECM showed 44 hours on the motors. I don't think the previous owner even set foot in the cabin. It will take me a little while to get use to it, but I think I'll be really happy with it. There is a TON of room!

Excellent!
Glad you enjoyed the weekend on the new boat! Must be a thrill!!!

Okay, this begs a questions, though, and I'm sure you saw this coming...

Can we get a comparison report on the two 29's?...

Glad to hear you made it back safely. What is your impression of the boat? How were you treated by the dealer?

Default FOUNTAIN / BAJA COMPARISON

I delt with Jerry at Grand Sport. He was extremely informative, easy to deal with and professional.

As for a comparison of the the new and the old boat...you guys will have to give me a little time to get used to the Baja. If I had to say something now, then it will go like this...

ROOM AND COMFORT - BAJA
QUALITY OF GEL, VINYL AND ALL AROUND - FOUNTAIN
LOW END PERFORMANCE - BAJA
HIGH END PERFORMANCE - FOUNTAIN
RIDE QUALITY - BAJA
