Mike, Great job!!! Mickey is the man. If it was not for him my old Scarab would had never been what it is....well was to me... now with new owner. We are both very lucky to have him as a friend...Can't wait to see it in person and go for a run. Be safe and speak soon.

Hey Phragle. Don't know if you've made the connection yet, but I'm sure this will do it.

Did some more testing today. Bolted on a - 2 lower and picked up about 1,000 RPMS! Was spring the 22 labbed bravo to 5300. Same prop on the lower was about 6200 (tach only goes to 6k). So we bolted on a stock 24p bravo and spun it to 5700 at 67.5. So we are around 20% slip. Don't understand why, but the shorty drive carried the bow way better than the standard. Only difference was my drive was an older bravo and the new one we put on was a newer style with the low water pickup. We just swapped the whole drive today for testing. The celery stick was to the back. Looks like I'll be buying a shorty and calling Brett at bblades.

A Mirage Plus will carry the bow the best and give the highest top speed by 3+mph, but porpoises easily and the holeshot sux.

Hey Griff. When we did our initial testing with a 502 mag the 23 standard mirage worked the best. The plus did seem to porpoise. Now the engine is around 550hp and will be getting a - 2 or - 3 lower. X dim was at 5.25" with the - 2. We never tried a 3 blade on the lower. The bravo props carried the bow more than enough with the shorty (actually more than the standard). So a shorty is definitely in the winters plans.

Been a while since I updated this. So here it goes. Found out late last season I have a 1.36 drive. That explains the confusion with the props. We bolted on a 1.5 2 inch shorty and the boat handled way better. So I am picking up a 1.5 drive next week. Also bought a 25p Rev 4 and a 25p mirage to try. Ordered a swim platform that should be here next week too. Should have some pics of the progress soon.
