Default Bad stringers

Were there any problems with either the 33 or 36 Outlaw stringers ??? I have read about problems with the 29's.

I am looking at either a 33 or 36 between 1998 and 2000.

Thanks,

Dave

Back around 1999 I read something about 36 O/L stringers popping in boats equipped with "big power". That's all I know.

A friend of mine has a 98' 36,
it was sent back to the factory
in 99' for stringer work.

From the looks of it, they added a
cross stringer underneath the engines.

I've seen later 36's, and they have this cross stringer

The 98' I spoke about had 502's, (that were
pro-charged) so I don't know if the recall
was select or all units.

Dave,
The information on the cross stringers is correct. The big HP boats would crack the base of the stringer from the flex. The cross bracing cured the problem.
