Default Anchor size and storage location

We have a 25 outlaw and normally store a large anchor in the engine compartment but it scratches it up and makes a mess. where does everyone else store there anchor and what size is it?

Bonnie, GOOD luck
Same boat and I put my anchor and rope in a plastic basket like the ones you see at the food stores to pickup small items....
Put it inside the engine compartment.....
They need to put in a anchor locker like on my 232...

Same boat for me as well. I've got a box anchor in the storage bag that it came in under the bench seat. Since the anchor folds down flat this location works ok. Not sure where I would put a traditional anchor.

I use a fortress #11. It's lightweight and works great.

I re-enforced my anchor compartment with high-density foam, so it doesn't get all scratched up and I wind up the line on a large extension cord reel(you can get them at home depot or lowes). Works great.

I had to cut off 4 inches from the shank of my anchor and machine a new hole so it would fit in the anchor locker of my 232. When it got choppy out, the anchor would pop up and flip up the door, and it rattled.. I would go with the box anchor under the rear bench seat...

Box Anchor under the bench seat. They are a bit heavy but they will hold a Cruise ship and fold up and store away in its own bag.

I bought a standard anchor at Wal-Mart, and it just fits perfectly under the rear seat. This thing has a white rubber coating so it doesn't beat up everything.
Also has a white rubber type coating on the chain that comes with it.

My anchor goes where the porta potty used to be in the cuddy along with all my lifejackets. It is also a good place for an ice chest.
