I hava a 29 outlaw with mechanical drive indicators. Does anyone know what length the cables are? I contacted Baja and they sad they could be 4 different lenghts.

Re: 29 outlaw cable lenghts

If you are going to replace them, go ahead and pull them out for an accurate measurement.

I changed mine this winter and did a rough measurement and ended up short.

They came out easy and went back in easy. Go with the high quality red cables. They work great and are not stiff like the ones Baja uses.

Good luck

It really is easy. The hardest part is connecting the ends. By yourself you should be able to take the old ones off and connect the new ones in two hours tops without rushing.

Mine had a black plastic clam shell cover on the outside of the transom. It forced the cables to make a 90 degree bend.

I took it off and replaced it with some nice 45 degree stainless fittings as shown in this picture. Hope you can make it out okay.

It did leave the holes from the black plastic one, but I filled them with white silicone and put the screws back in. Had them repaired and gelcoated over a few weeks ago when we had the swim platform powercoated.

Look luck
