Re: History on Banana Boat Company
See post yesterday under Banana. Helped a good friend restore a 79 24 Banana about 10 years ago and neither one of us know anything about it's history. Found this site a few months back when I was looking to purchase a 25 Outlaw with a 500 HP motor. Anyway, thought this would be a good source since prior to his purchase neither one of us had ever heard of Banana Boats. I actually laughed at him and told him he can't buy a boat maufactured by that name. At the time I owned an 81 27 Excaibur flat deck. Turns out the Banana has been a great boat that really has a unique cult following. Not sure if that answers your question or not.

Let me add, looked at the 24 Banana for three days at the beach next to my 25 Outlaw and was just amazed how cool the Banana looked and although completly updated 10 years ago did not look outdated as far as hull and deck design.

Look up old threads started by me or Chatim Racing on OSO and you will have a pretty complete history.
The second coming of the boats is right around the corner....22, 24, 28 and 35 footers.
Welcome aboard
