I think it is the same boat.I know the rules changed allowing twin outboard vees to drop down from B Class to A Class. It would be great to see someone put this boat back out on the race course.OPA's Class 6 is a based on maximum of 70MPH/26FT.I think "Spoiled Banana" would be a great Class 6 boat as well if it were rigged with twin 200's.

Hey Art,
Are you going to race the Baja in Class 6 this year?It looks like there is going to be at least seven boats this year, and maybe even more!

24ft Carrera
24ft Batboat
(2) 24ft Sunsations
(2) 26ft Corsas
25ft Baja

The classes did change.

My race boat had an A-57 underneath the F-57 number on both sides of the forward part of the hull.

Seems like it was 1993 when the rules changed.

Jeb would know better.

Merry Christmas Banana Heads.

man I sure hope to did some testing for top speed in the fall and witha 2''shortie and nickerson carb 1050 went from 74 to 83 out in the bay in 2ft chop in the river 80 to 81. but I still need bulkheads done ,steering installed, and get another knee operation, the one in oct26 doesn't seem to be working so T am hoping for a total replacement soon. also put the 380 k planes on. pete from nopper 26 sutphen will be running to. now I have to buy a 24 or 22a blade to get my top end down to 70s or change the drive back , since I have 2 now. plus need a nav or driver too. love the bat boats so could be 10 boats how is yours running

I just found a few old phots of a Banana race boat. The pictures were taken in July 1993 at Point Pleasent NJ race. Its the Red boat "Gone Bananas" with F-7 designation. I also found a picture of it marked F-1 with a Johnson outboard, which maybe from the following year. I will try and get the pictures scaned in this weekend.

Hey Chris

Sorry I never got around to putting "F-1" on there as well. Remember the history of that hull.
1993 USOffshore World Champion
1993 USO National Champion
1993 USO Northeast Champion
1993 USO Central Champion.
Enjoy.
