Ax in the side of a Banana Boat?

Here is the story.

I am talking to the original owner of the purple and black Banana Boat with twin 200 mercs one day about 6 years ago and I ask him if he remembers my boat running up and down the Conn river in the 90's.

I told him that the boat said "Gone Banana's" on the side when I bought it.

He gets this weird look and says "oh man, that's your boat? I heard that the last owner's girlfriend used to get pissed because he loved the boat so much. And when they broked up, she grapped an Ax and started wailing on the side of the hull".

I normally would have laughed but, he was not kidding and I have always had these gash marks about the size of an ax on my port side. Figured they were dock rash, but I guess not.

Anyone ever heard of this story?
