1969 Cary "The Cigarette", 2008 24 Banana Boat
Thanks so much for the input everyone....Banana it will be.

Maybe we can come up with a different model name for the center consoles.

As far as sterndrives, we see these center console boats being built with Yanmar Diesel engines too...that should be a nice package.

This makes good sense.

Will all the boats be built in Florida or some in Rhode Island?
If all in FLA will you have a dealership in RI?

1986 Trojan 10 Meter "dirty connection", 1980/2010 Banana 24', and a 29' Scarab
Good, stick with Banana, and make everything a Banana. Brand recognition is the name of the game

Can't wait to see the new 28 and 27 !!!!

All the boats will be built in Florida.

But I am a partner in a new dealership in Massachusetts that will be allowed to stock and sell banana boats. This dealership will sell and service the Northeast down to New York and New Jersey.

For those who are familiar with the old banana boat co brochure, as can be seen on our website.....Mike Perette was my General Manager back then. Mike and I are partners in this new dealership in Mass.

We already have a 27 Center Console in Mass now, if anyone is interested or would like to see it.

The official opening of the dealership won't be until later this spring, but if you don't mind stepping over rolls of carpet and walking around electricians, you are more than welcome.

I always thought McCarthy would be a classy name for a line of boats.

Come on Charlie ,Thats what makes it so great.

All kidding aside. With todays high end boats and classical looks that everybody is going for , of which you are the first to attempt this look in the offshore boats ,I feel that a 24 or 28 McCarthy sounds very classy and classic .

I understand where you were going with the Banana name and its history but this is a new era , Think Rybovich, Scarborough, McCarthy.

You are lucky to be blessed with a great name like yours.Be glad its not Diephouse
