Happy to hear of another Banana that is going to be saved.
It also seem like as you said, your hands are full.

Stringers ok? Or do you have to go the same way as I did?

To me it seems like this boat has had a few changes in her life? Looking at the Colour of the boat, the dash and windscreen.
Interesting to hear what you plan to do with her? Going for original or?

Air times question, power is very interesting?

What year and nr is it?

Good luck and please keep us posted.

1969 Cary "The Cigarette", 2008 24 Banana Boat
He sent me a PM asking about the new windshield that we have.

Just so everyone is clear about this, when we re-tooled the deck and made a new mold, the new deck is different than the old ones, subtle but different.

When Chad wanted to put a new windshield on his old deck, he brought his boat from Texas and left it in Florida for a few weeks, while they custom made him a new windshield and cabin doors.....so it can be done, but I just didn't want people thinking we have an inventory sitting somewhere that we can ship and you can just bolt on.

That said......The name Black Pearl is ironic. That is the name of the restaurant in Newport RI, that we would go to while we were doing the testing of the first banana boats made back in the 70's. We would sit around a table there and discuss prop sizes, trim tabs, steering options etc etc.

This boat boat looks in pretty good shape, so hopefully we might see it out on the water next summer.

the boat is a 1978 but havent got the hull number yet to verify production date, ill know tomorrow.

im gonna put the windshield back on and the orginal stering box, everything is being updated, as far as paint goes, im not sure yet. I like the newer style paint jobs, just dont want anything plan. Im a automotive painter so most of the glass work and paint work im doing my self. Allthe wiring and mech work ill do myself as well, well im open for suggestions on anything. I really like what Tro-jan man did to his Banana, well clean boat and thats what im going for.
