Re: 2005 F-550 Centurion Conv Stolen
The last 2 years in a row, a boat mfg. has had their dually stolen from Coconut Grove area while they ran down to Key West for races. Local police believe the vehicles are put in cotainers at the very nearby port and gone almost immedately overseas. Good luck in getting it back.

For future reference and cheap anti-theft techniques:
At the very least, pull out some key fuses/breakers/relays. Get a couple replacements and lop off a few of the spade terminals, leaving one to hold them in place so a thief can't get it started. Pop the hood, and throw the coil wire in your pocket (if equipped).
In a Ford, pop the back of your foot against the passenger side kick panel, and pop the emergency fuel cutoff switch (as if the truck has been in an accident). This will only let the truck get a few feet if that, depending on how hard they hit the pedal. (You don't want to run your diesel out of fuel though, so don't test this. Just test by making sure you can feel the button has popped up. I put a manual toggle (kill) switch in the wire for this safety switch on my old Ford.)
There is a even a place online that sells a replacement starter relay that looks IDENTICAL to factory. It has a wireless receiver that you control with a keyfob, to render the starter relay inoperable, and back-operational.

Passenger door locks are a weak point on em.. You can pop the lock in a second or two and hit the cylinder with a screwerdoer to unlock it.. If you take the time to put a simple hose clamp on the cylinder, you eliminate this problem.. Or, do as I did, order the Sport package that doesnt have any key cylinders except on the drivers door.. If you already own one, just order the Sport door handle parts to eliminate the passenger door lock cylinders.. As far as the factory alarm, it really isnt (As you found out) wirth a crap, it just locks the doors.. Get a Clifford...
