43' Models "Cabin" differences?

I know there are deck differences.....

But in the 43' model is the cockpit all the same size?? Or was there a model that had a bigger cockpit??

We looked at a 43' Black Thunder this weekend,, loved the boat and it was nice but the cokpit could only really hold 5.

I know the 46' SC cockpit is much bigger...

Thanks for the help..

Plan on calling BT today for clarification..

Bob is the owner at BT and he can really help you. The 460SC does only have seating for 5 or 6 depending on the seat arrangement. The 460EC has seating for up to 9. The 430 has same arrangement as 460SC. The 460SC has a shorter cockpit to allow for triple engines.

Hey, I got your message on MWBP. Before they had the 460's, they had the 43sc and the 43gt. The gt is what we have, but the 43sc and gt had the same cockpit. Ours has 3 seats up front, and the backseat will hold 3 or 4, right from the factory. The new 460's have the SC or EC, like you said, standard and extended cockpit. The SC I know comes with 3 seats up front and a backseat for 3-4. On the EC, I have seen them with bolsters for 4, and some had bolsters for 5, they all have the same backseat though. I hope you find a nice one!

43 Cockpit

what model is the 43, there are two models. the EC Extended cockpit (Larger) and the SC Sport Cruiser (Shorter cabin)

Cockpits are close to the same size in the 43 and 46 EC and the same goes for the 43SC and 46EC (Shorter)

Was it a flat deck?

43 For sale

I know of a nice 43 for sale on Boattrader with only 20 hours on the engine rebuild. I think it was a 97.

The 43gt, 43sc (no longer made), and the 46sc all have the same cockpit. The 46EC just has 2 extra seats. They all have the same cabin, except the 43gt has less headroom.

The 43GT is a flat deck model - meaing the head room in cabin is less than the 46 EC or SC, or the no-longer-made 43SC. The flat deck still has good headroom compared to other mfg's., however, it's not near the SC or EC headroom at 6'10" tall. It looks like you have/had a 38' Baja. That's what we had when we upgraded to the 460EC. Mine has twin 525efi's and I've run 75 mph on several occasions. Good luck and call Bob. They are factory direct and Bob may know of some BT's for sale if you don't want new.

Thanks guys...

Yes we do have a .38 now and LUV that boat..

We had 4 adults, 3 teenage girls and 2 children in it all weekend.. Without a problem...

We happen to stop at a watering hole for lunch on Sunday and there was a 43' BT there and my wife said... You can't sell our boat and buy one of those,, we wouldn't fit...

Its really a mute point unless the deal goes thru on my current boat.

43 Cockpit

I believe the flat deck runs from 5'10" to 5'8" of head room. Still nice compared to others.
