Any 43 BLACK THUNDERS in Memphis area.
Would like to look at one without driving to far. In market for big boat. Either a Black Thunder or a Scarab.
Thanks BDARCHER

Take a look at this thread:
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=175515
Post 17, f311fr1, Joe Murray is trying to sell his; and he is in Franklin, TN.
Joe is a good guy, and he has put a lot of sweat, time, blood and energy into that boat.

Pffft! Blasphemy! I've never heard of too much motor.
Joe's got a nice setup. Its setup for bullet-proof reliable (fast, depending on where the sticks are ) cruising. There are a myriad of ways to make a Bravo setup live a longer life, but the way Joe's boat has been readied, it will obviously eliminate the "Bravo Blues" which is probably what will set in with any of the smaller powered BTs with smaller motors and Bravo drives; on a heavy boat.
Let me know if I can be of more assistance.

Joe's boat is great, you also need to think about resale and a better motor will be better for resale. Plus the guy that has done his engine work is top notch (he's the guy that did the Nashville Cats Nortech. Also what does your wife and kids know about motors , don't you control the throttle . We had a 40 Scarab and unless you get a real old Scarab the cabin room will never compare to a BT and that's really what I bet your wife will care about. Joe's boat is attractive, well kept and only a few hours drive to see, I think you are CRAZY not to consider it. OK now that's my humble opinion

I just looked at that other thread again, when Joe first posted he did not mention his boat so I thought someone must have bought it. I see even Jass knows it's got reliable power, that's sooooooooo important. The BT we bought was so jury rigged when we purchased it that Ian has spent two summers re rigging it, it runs great but we had to put a lot of money into it. I wish Joe's boat was for sale when we were looking.
I have nothing to gain by promoting his boat but you really should think about it, also maybe you could talk to his engine guy, I think his name is Eddie if I am not mistaken

I would not mind going faster and we have no kids to worry about, just little Kirby and he travels well at both speeds
