Prop choice for a 430 XC
I am looking at a 1999 430xc with twin 700's (500 efi w/ pro chargers) and Bmax drives. Current owner says that top speed is low to mid 70's but thinks it could use bigger props. I am new to the forum - just looking for advise / experience on what props should be on this boat with this setup and how it will perform. Thanks

Even though Endeavor is a traitor that left his Black Thunder brothers for a Cig, he has some good advice
Sweet boat, it has a lot of potential left in it. IMO you could spend the time and money trying to "dial in" or "set up" the boat rather then more power. There are bottom mods, blueprint the bottom, drive height, props, etc. You should be able to get that boat into the low 80's on a good day and high 70's all day long. But again thats ONCE its dialed in. Do a search on here and Serious Offshore. Lots of good info.
Enjoy!

Thanks guys, it looks like there is a wealth of information here on the forum, I will certainly need it if I end up with the black thunder. I have been in some "out of the box" Express cruisers and super sports since the kids came along and am ready to go fast again, but still need some room. The BT looks like it might be a good fit. I am not yet sold on this particular boat yet, haven't even seen it but it looks good on paper and if it can sniff 80 that is good. If you know of another good BT for sale that is not posted here please let me know. Thanks

Lol. Gonna be tough to get that big rig to run with the Cig for equal hp. However, I may know a couple peeps that could help speed one up Bring ur Baja to loto this summer. We could have some fun
