This is a bad situation getting worse for the fugitive but in all fairness these PWC's are generally the ones that cause these accidents. I am not saying this is the case here and am concerned for the loss of life and Prayers to the family but these guys sometimes think that there is nothing faster and don't look behind them. I am frustrated with the numbers of un educated PWC people on the water. I have had some close ones cause they don"t look. And I don't run in the close areas just for that I wait to wide areas.

boatless
Regardless if it was the pwc's fault, the driver left the scene...we had the same thing happen on Onieda Lake last thursday night...a 20' boat hit an 85yr. old fisherman and killed him, left the scene while the poor old man died...the drivers father got a big dollar attorney and the son came forward today(yeah, two days later)and there have yet to be formal charges pressed

The boy now has "no next of kin" which would put him into the adoption system. Anyone here know of someone with a big heart?
What an awful situation

This story is horrible. If we organize something on there for helping the boy, I'll let everyone here know about it if they want to help.

Blackthunder & Malibu ski boat
This is very sad, I still can't believe they have not found the boat or driver, someone or several people have to know who owns the boat.

I believe the boy does have his paternal grandmother, oddly enough I received an email written by the mother of the gentleman that was killed. It was forwarded to me by someone I know in the national Yorkie club, apparently the man's mother has Yorkies and is a member of the club. She sent an email plea out through their network looking for help in finding the driver and the fountain. It was very sad especially about how her grandson had to witness what happened to his father. I just can't believe how much recent hit and run stuff I have read about. Finding the driver will never bring her son back, but it will help with some closure.

I sent an email to the mother telling her about the web sites and how through these sites there is a good chance the boat will be ID'd I also asked her permission to post her email here.
