Outcast1,

Just to clear up a few things:

1) Slander is spoken.
2) Libel is printed.
3) The use of the word "Cigarette" as a generic term for a performance boat is neither. Like "Kleenex" for tissue and "Frisbie" for flying disc, Cigarette has become synonymous for performance boat ... no matter how much we get all bent out of shape about it, that's just the way it is.
4) Such usage in a news article might be ignorance, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't qualify as copyright infringement.

Now, if Sunsation starts calling its boats Cigarettes, that's another matter.

Advantage
Can't believe no one has mentioned it, but that video does not show a freak set of waves. The boat is majorly over trimmed. It did the classic stuff. If it wasn't over trimmed than the boat has way too much weight in the back. If it were flying nice and level that never would have happened.

Hopefully people can learn from a video like this. I am sure many racers here would agree that proper driving would have avoided this.

Not knowing the area at all, I'm curious as to what makes it one of the most dangerous pass areas in the world ?

Doesn't look overtrimmed to me seeing how little rooster tail he's throwing but given the angle who really knows other then him.

Not his fault !! he was merely participating in a club event, therefore, by the rules you must go as fast as you can when the helicopter is above you !

Those damn helicopters

I just watched the video like 10 times. He's trimmed fine, that boat just won't fly level. The stern tends to drop like rock, it's a balance issue.

I would say you trim your boat according to its weight. In other words, if one is stern heavy, well, one must account for that when using trim.

Sonic
It looks like he was way overtrimmed at first, but then got it running properly before the trip and stuff.
