A few years ago, here in Sicamous, a woman went to jump off the back of a houseboat onto a pwc just as the houseboat started to back up.Unfortunately she missed and ended up in the water. Despite the best efforts of a paramedic and two Calgary firefighters she died from a severed femoral artery, real shame, she left behind two young kids. The moral? Stay away from the stern of boats, running or not.
