humberto sold ast a molds to colbalt but also built the first few. he also race the first one in calif. for colbalt. lear jet design the cabin for colbalt and humberto said there was to much weight in it. rigging was sub par by colbalt as the put the trim pumps on the sides of engines and could not get to the spark plugs terrable to work on!!! i replace a transom in a 1987 5 yrs ago. i have a 9meter for myself and its a 1983 and the boat is solid as a rock!!!! so its a flip of a coin unless you known that humberto bilt it!!! and oh ya the colbalts are slower!!!
