Default 253 vs 259/270

Looking for some real world handling/speed input comparing a 253 to a 259 or 270. I have a 253 now and im looking at a 270 with a 496ho. Its my understanding that the 259 and 270 are the same boat just measured differently. Wondering if the 259/270 is any faster/slower and is the porpoising any better then the 253? My 253 is manageable but some improvement would be good. Any other positives or negatives would be great, I may be able to upgrade for not a lot of money.

We have a 2000 259 with a Tyler Crockett upgraded 454MAG(461HP). The boat has run 72.3mph in ideal conditions with a light load. There is a mid range porpoise with our boat that drastically improved when we changed our three blade prop to a Bravo 1 4 Blade. I have never ridden on a 253 but really like our 259.
