Default Checkmate Customer Service

I want to say thank you to all of the members of the CM factory for providing great customer service. Anytime we need anything, they are always willing to do what it takes to get the job done quickly and correctly. I plan on getting to the factory sometime soon to personally meet all of you. Thank you for all your help.

I agree! Although I recently sold my Mate I had it for 11 years. After 5 years of ownership they still sent me parts under "warranty". Great company, wish they made fishing boats!!!

Do you think Checkmate would have older brochures from 1989 on the 281 Maxxum Outboard Model???

i've found the factory to be helpful only if you get talking to the right people. I've only had good experiences with "Mike", and that's all i will talk to anymore. If he's not there that day....i call back when he is.

Sharkeymarine:

In the 1989 the only information in the brochure is on the Maxxum 281 I/O. In 1990 they added a very small photo of an outboard model powered by twin Johnson 300's. No specific spec's were noted for the outboard boat. Overall info was:

LOA 27'11"
Beam 98"
Weight 5,300 lbs (single 454)
Fuel 86
Max Hp Twin 454's
Deadrise 24 deg.
Capacity 3,000 lbs.

Hope this helps.

And hull only retail value in 1990 was $33,200.
