Tell me about the 2010 ZT 244

And why I should or shouldn't buy one. This boat has the 496 (375 horse) mercruser engine, if that matters. Will this boat run 7o M.P.H. ? Is this boat one of the rebadged Baja's? Anything else I should know?

if you goto checkmateforum web site and do a search you should find some info. when checkmate started doing some older baja boats (h2x and the 272) there was alot of debate on the site. Doug Smith the old founder of baja bought checkmate a few years back and i think he just wanted some new product. the boats are all well made . hand laid with balsa core and in gel grafics. the 10 yr hull warranty to the original owner is pretty good and i hope checkmate is around for another 40+ yrs. IMO for the money there is not much better, again you cant compare it to a boat such as a new pantera. I think professional boat sales has or had one with a 6.2mx and that should be a low to mid 60s boat with great fuel economy.
