Default been eyeballing a checkmate ZT330....any advice?

i been lookin at a couple of checkmate zt330s.

they look awesome in the water. and they are waaaay cheaper than comparable makes and models of the same size and running gear.

that seems cheap for a boat of this size , year, and performance.

any body have any info or experience with the zt330??

how do they ride?

what speeds do they see?

cockpit size/features??

cuddy room?

how is the workmanship compared to other manufacturers??

I can't answer your questions but there is one on my lake and it looks really nice in the water. Nice stance!

ZT330 is the same hull as the 303/320 Convincor with the swim platform added on.

Giving up on your 28?

thanks for the comments guys.

and no i love my 2800! i actually have both engiens tore off the boat and am replacing the midsections (they were cracked) with drilled mids and changing to 28p props.

may raise the engines up another notch as well.

i also took the front bolster out for some modifications and color change to match the new swim deck and back seat. changed to a set fo latham zero effort controls. and also put a 19x19 Bomar hatch in the front for ventilation and light in the cuddy since it now has couches and so forth in it. also put gray carpet throughout the cockpit.

ive just been lookin at gettin a bigger boat in the near future. maybe.....lol

that zt330 looks sweeeeet! but i really like my 2800sx. light fast, fun to drive...easy to to tow, easy to trailer...and now that ive got it pimped out and set up the way it should be...i have no plans on selling it...but ya never know. if i get the zt330 ill prolly just keep the 2800sx also.

Damn, must be nice. I really like the ZT 330's also, they seem to be kind of hard to find.

Default Zt300

Have a 2010 zt330 with twin 454. Top speed on GPS is 76 mph. Spends most of its time in lake Michigan. Has made the trip from traverse city to Mackinac island 6 times. Averaged 45-50mph at about 3200 rpm and about 1.5 gallons a mile. Been caught in 5-8 footers and still were able to cruise at 35mph. Boat seems to run best from a slight chop to 2 footers. No complaints, also have a 234 pursuador bowrider and its actually a faster boat then the zt, but the zt does have a flat screen, bathroom, fridge microwave and sink. Perfect for a full day trip. Also real easy to tow, to it with either of my 10 or 14 gmc Sierra all terrains. Easier to load the the pursuador and my tracker bass boat

33'ER with full cabin and 454's running 76 mph??? I assume your use your speedo and not GPS, there's no way.
