I just a read a report with a 300 Convincor with twin 454mags. It weighed in at 5600lbs. I was told 5300 with a single. Only 300 lbs less for a single engine.....i dont beleive it! I would imagine about 1200lbs more for extra drive and motor......Anybody?

I got the boat and am very happy with it. It was a lot bigger than expected! Going through the registration process. I dont think it will be registered for Labor Day weekend.... The dealer forgot to give me some paperwork that DMV needs to register. Not a big deal b/c the weather doesn't look that good. Here are a couple pictures.....

Here are the results from the test ride.
1997 283
454Mag efi 240hours.
22 Bravo 4 blade
4 adults 200+lbs each
100 gallons of fuel(3/4 tank)
4600rpms at 59.6 gps
The motor should be at 5000rpms. Did all this weight kill my rpms? I haven't run the boat with a lighter setup yet so I can't tell if the rpms will increase. Any ideas? thinking about labbing prop, high flow flame arrestor, gill exhaust etc. Maybe a procharger but doubt it.
