Nope, its just a Cobra. Theres a nitrous system in Hot Boat this month I was lookin at. If I still have my 245 next spring I may gas it . Just dont want to blow my outdrive. The boat is so dependable (62 +mph) now I probably shouldnt mess with it. Would love to see a few Baja's crap their drawers though.

Re: How strong is an OMC outdrive?
Just talked to a shop here in town about out drive parts for a Cobra.
Says parts will be gettin hard to come by in the not to distant future.
Whats gona happen to everyone with an OMC, he says tough luck.
Anyone else have an opinion.

hate to say this but it sounds like an awful big chance to take for 10 seconds of speed. i would think you would have to re-prop the boat to maximize the performance at your max RPM but you will only hit that max RPM on the gas. that being said i think the boat would suffer when off the bottle.

I have not been denied anything that I have needed for my OMCs.
I heard that it would be a nightmare owning them. That was BS. Mostly passed along by Merc shops. Go figure. Call a shop that does Merc, Volvo, and OMC and get the real story.
No problems with mine except for reputation.
