Re: Did everybody buy Scarabs or something?
delivered mine last friday and you know what ? after 30 minutes drive, the slip in part of the hitch went off, leaving the trailer to follow by the chain... in a 3-4 miles tunnel... could not believe it. No damage whatsoever, neither on the truck, neither on the trailer or boat... The pin was behind the hitch not in the hole in it... What I don't understand is why it took 30 minutes drive before it went off ! BTW, I'll still follow the c-craft tread!

Score one for chains. You must cross your chains so they catch the trailer.
Bet that was a scary 4 mile tunnel.

Re: Did everybody buy Scarabs or something?
Didn't buy a Scarab but rode on one Sunday afternoon
We just got our motors back Saturday. Been wrenching on them since and hope to drop them in tomorrow or Thursday in order to have the boat back in the water by Monday or so.
Been too busy to check in and see how things are, but glad the gang's still around.
