chris craft emblem

The original owner of my 26' Stinger had removed the chrome chris craft name and emblems from the side of the boat. I'm looking to replace these and get as close to original as I can. I'm looking for someone who might know the dimensions of the chrome chris craft nameplates? And, how does one attach them to the side of the boat - I assume screws, but should I be using any sort of adhesive too?

thanks all!

Re: chris craft emblem

I have a 99 CC bowrider, I believe the emblems are same. Each word is separate part and is about 3inches tall. I can post a pic if you want. They are stuck to the boat with self adhesive. I dunno where you are located, there is a semi local place to me in Sarasota that has them. (Marine Surplus Inc.) I bet they would ship them.

Re: chris craft emblem

thanks for the responses - I believe the original chrome lettering on the boat was screwed on. I've seen chrisparts.com, but not sure which size lettering I should be looking at. I'm looking for the hieght and overall dimensions for the lettering. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: chris craft emblem

I had a question at one time about some size thing for my boat. I just called Chrisparts, and the guy knew which one I needed for my boat. Maybe he knows which lettering is appropriate for yours. They were very helpful to me......

Re: chris craft emblem

I had the same situation with my boat. The previous owner removed the Chris Craft and the Stinger emblems. I bought the original metal (chrome) emblems and the plastic stinger emblems from the same place the other guys mentioned. Go with the 044430302 26" overall length chrome/diecast emblems for the sides and If you want, get one of the 092400047 stinger emblems for the stern. They aligned right up with the original holes and look great. Hope this helps. Dan

Sorry to post so late, you may have an answer but the ones I removed from my 88 260 were stuck on ( factory ) with double sided tape. I still have them but not in good shape..
