Default 1985 Chris Craft 260 Stinger

We may have to put our Stinger up for sale as we have a chance to buy some riverfront property on Lake Erie. We just bought the boat last fall and have worked on it all winter. I dont want to let it go unless we have to. The boat has a complete new interior, new cockpit cover (bottom of windshield to back), new convertible top with side curtains, and a good used full cover. The engines were removed and new coulpers were installed (had one go bad last fall). I had all new bellows, gimbals bearings and shift cables installed. The outdrives are new SEI engineering drives with 3 yr fault free warranties. It also has a new stainless tie bar and drive showers. It also has the sport tabs with dual actuators and a new TPI (tab position indicator) and tab retractors. I can go on and on about things that have been replaced. If you have any serious interest, I can send pics. Dan

What kind of $ are you thinking. A friend of mine fell in love with my boat when I bought it and he said if he could find another, he'd think about it. I can pass on the info and pics.
Thanks.

Im looking to sell mine, not currently buy another at the moment. If anyone knows someone looking pass it along. Im looking for offers at this point. My insurance company says the house im buying needs a new roof before than can insure it.

I also have a 1968 Chevelle for sale.

Hey Rat, I see you put your Stinger on O.S.O. for sale. That's a damn good price you have on. I have had my Stinger for two years it's clean but yours is super clean. If only more poeple knew what it cost to get one like where yours is they would be jumping over each other to get it.

Yeah, tell me about it. I looked far and wide to find a descent boat to start with, then upgraded it from there. I didnt plan on having to sell it so fast. I was hoping to atleast get to keep it for a few years after doing all the work to it. Plans change so I have to sacrafice it. I will be taking a bath on this one thats for sure. Anyways, someone will be getting a nice boat.

I would be after it if it was a 312 stinger, 26 is not enough upgrade to justify buying it, I want 30ft+ nex time.

I looked into buying a 312 Stinger and now Im glad I didnt. They were alot more expensive and alll the ones I looked at had either had stringer issues or ones that were "repaired". Ive noticed alot of 312's for sale, but not as many 260's. I may try ebay with it in the next couple of weeks If I dont get any interest.

Sorry we didnt catch up the other weekend Tim. We are starting to gut the house and its been our main priority lately.

The wife even had some wine that night... So I had no driver to take me anywhere! lol
