What kind of wax did you use, anything in particular? I'm fond of McGuires, but not sure what's best to use on new paint.

We use McGuire's, both for the cleaner wax and wax itself.

We buff/cleaner wax and wax every spring, then wax again late July/early August.

Is that "Omni" a urethane based paint? I have never heard of it?
Who makes it and where can it be purchased? Did you use a regular gun or an HVLP?

Any advice would be nice as I am presently redoing a Jcraft for a friend and this might be something I might try...

Thanks...Tom in Niagara

OMNI is a generic version of PPG Deltron, it is manufactured by PPG, and marketed under the name OMNI, yes it is urethane. I believe you can get it at some NAPA stores.

I would love to see some pictures of the deck looking fromthe bow, I just purchsed an 85 260 as well , it is a project, but I had to save from certain waste. Hope to post some pics of my project. Nice job!
