Sorry I can't help you on your search. But my wife and I are seriously looking to up size our boat to a 260 Stinger. We currently own a Chris Craft 210 bow rider. Out grew it. What do you think of yours? Good bad or indifferent? I realize I am being very general, but I've heard good and bad about them; particularly the latter 80s Stingers. Please advise.

I love mine, although it is a very heavy boat and many people crap on its speed capabilities because of that. I have had 3 Baja boats of similar size, and honestly would rather cruise my Stinger.

I'd rather have heavy and smooth in a boat (but not my woman). We are parting with our 210. Need something bigger and smoother. My wife (just 38years) had a stroke two weeks ago. Doc said no more little boat. Can't risk her getting jounced around for the foreseeable future. So it is up size or nothing at all.

Ok, where are all the prop guys hiding? My Stinger runs 58mph with the stock 260hp sbc's in it (13x17 pitch props). What can I expect when the 425hp strokers find their new home, and what props should I run?

Something in your numbers is way off.
With 17pitch props your 350 would have to be spinning 6000+
rpm. Seeing as the stock 260/350s only spin about 4800-5000rpm
that is really not possible. Was that GPS speed or dream-o-meeter (speedo) speed?

it was def just the speedo gauge, and I was wrong, the props are 14.5 x 19 pitch.

Bulldog... This is what I'm running with my '88 260; 51 mph (GPS) @ 4500 rpm, and I'm running 14.5x21 props. However, this gives me a slip percentage of about 15%. I think this is higher than normal. Both props have been repaired, and one is ready for the scrap yard.

Are you running Alpha or Bravo drives?

i absolutely loved mine, best bang for the buck out there. Very big for a 26 footer, my dock neighbor had a 30 scarab Panther and my 26 footer was bigger all the way around. If i remember they are close to 29 feet or so. Mid 80's were the best 84,85,86 i had heard some of the later ones had structural issues but i believe that was in the larger over 30 foot models. Mine was built like a tank.
