weight of a stinger 260

I have a 260 stinger 1986[stock 260 hp mercs]. the book said dry weight is 5500 lb . I think not, loaded with fuel/water/gear it is on a 8000 lb trailer and the fit is very nice. not to much trailer at all. could it truly weigh this much. Great boat have not had it long but it works very nice in big water.

Try more like 7500# thats what my 85' was...

I had one. At that time Chris Craft weights did not include engine and drive units. Add about 950# for each 260 and Alpha.
