Default 230 Scorpion

Hey All,

There is a project boat 230 Scorpion (i think a 1980) in my yacht club's boat yard and i know nothing about how these boats handle/perform etc.
Can anyone provide insight on this boat for me? It's a boat I am looking to buy.

Trying to figure out what the pricing would be if i got the thing:

havent seen the engine dont know if it still works

skeg is ripped off the drive $$$ to fix

upholstery major re-do $$ ?

guages/electric?

re-do cover $$?

Wow, he's looking to fix his up, too. The one I have my eyes on is the one with the rear thru hull exhaust and it says "stinger" on the side with yellow, orange, tanish stripes. black base color.

I have an 84 Chris Craft 210 Scorpion I picked up as a project I got it in the water last yr I absolutly love it. Its a wide beam fairly heavy boat that handles well cuts thru waves well. The quality of the fiberglass is great. I have very little into it and get alot out of it.

Default 230 scorpion

I have been fixing mine up for a few years and I think you can spend just as much money as you wanto o an old boat. I have pulled 60MPH out of mine so far I hope to tune it until I can run mid to upper 60s .I sure would like to see some pictures !
