If the work was done right, I don't see any reason to worry. The Volvo is a great outdrive. The only hard part is getting parts for them in a pinch.... parts availability for Mercury is a big selling point (though you'll work on the Volvo less).

The volvo drives are known to be pretty dependable. the boat looke clean i'd say go for it if the price is good. I've taken a lot of flak because of my OMC Cobra drive but it has been good to me and i will continue to use it. if you look there are still parts out there. any good prop shop can redo your prop for a little more pitch if needed

Thank You for the input and Information fellow boaters. The more I think about it the more I want to go see it in person. I once had a Volvo Penta V6 back in the early 80's but I only had problems with the engine overheating all the time and breaking down when the Volvo Penta did break down I have to say it was hard to find the parts and order the parts too but I never had problems with the Volvo outdrive. Then after fixing the Volvo Penta then I sold the boat and baught a Chris Craft with a 350/260 MerCruiser and had it for over 14yrs and the only problems that I did have was the outdrive, replacing the hydraulic lines and tilt arms. On the engine I had to change out the exhaust headers Tune-up, water pump but that was because the Chevy was over 14yrs old with lots of hours on the MerCruiser and that was all that needed replacing. The reason why I want another Chris Craft because I am looking for a strong and reliable and dependable boat.
