Found my notes I took while talking to Sparky. He is his thoughts/experiences with designing a tunnel tab for a 30' Chris - Awesome - AO - Vicous.
For the tunnel tab you want it the full width of the tunnel it does not have to follow the same contour of the tunnel bottom and it may mount 7/8 above the outer corners of the tunnel and you do not want it to hinge at the transom , but mount it solid and use a composite tab and flex it to redirect air flow.
If you do what you have drawn you would be destin to stuff the boat , you don’t want to drag the tab through the water like a trim tab on a vee bottom you want to redirect air flow in the tunnel to pack air pressure to lift the hull.
The tab should be set at neutral with the tunnel and follow thru to the tip, the tab needs to be 26" long by the width of the tunnel for your hull.
