I was thinking about buying one and getting someone to make a bunch of them.

The Plastic is 1/2" so it is very strong. The bracket is 1/4" Alum. it is bolted into the original holes that the wind visors used, so you do not have to drill into the boat. I put rubber on the bottom of the btacket so that it would not scratch the paint on my bow. I have made them out of 1/4" and they are too flimsy. I am still working on a filler, for on the backside of the bracket.
You also have to have your cover remade. I brought my old cover as a pattern and my upholsty guy charged me 500.00 this was for a all new cockpit cover, with a soft insert for wher the cover touches the windshield.
I would say I could duplicate this to sell for 800.00 + instalation (hourly rate)
The biggest problem is I would like to have the boat at my shop to fit the windshield. With out the boat you would have to drill your own holes in the bracket.
If you guy's have any questions about this I will be happy to share my info, or do the work for you. I will post more pics next time I take the boat out.
I respond much quicker to E-mail than the forums
