I purchased this 1984 38' Flatdeck "AS IS" after it had been sitting in Englewood, Florida for 4 years. 18 months later I am proud to reveal her and show the blood, sweat, and tears that went into the dream of owning a legendary Cigarette.
Influences for the boat came from the first 38 Flatdeck-AJAK Hawk, the elegance of the Playboy edition Cigarettes and the mid 90s Lip-Ship cockpits.
A huge thanks to: Tim's Balancing and Machine, Zack at Ace Welding for fabrication of the cockpit grab handles and race fairing, Ruth with Dix Canvas, Screenprint Plus for the embroidery, the fellas at Trick Marine and Mike at CP Performance. I was also honored to have my Cig painted by Paul Diogo, Nortechs' in-house painter, whose experience is second to none.
And finally this project would not had been possible without Denny Hejja of Marine Performance Specialties in Cape Coral Florida. Denny's attention to detail took to this boat to the next level. The ultimate rigger from back in the day with Bobby Moore and champion throttleman for Chuck Norris. A dedicated professional and true friend.
Dash panels were powder coated and laser etched by Team Marine in Wisconsin. The etching was hardly visible so I painted the etching by hand then shot the panel with Dupont Clear.
