Im looking at a 28 Cigarette with twin 200 mercs
Hello everyone, I am looking at a 1985 28 Cigarette copy that has 2 200 mercs. the guys looking for $8500 for the package. it seems real solid but the tripple bolster in the front and rear seat need work.
i was wondering who was making these molds and how fast one can run with the outboards. from what i can tell, it looks identical to pics ive seen of a 1980 28 ss
any info would be great!

It could be any bodies guess. My guess is 55-60 mph if its not too heavy. it would have to be really light with a great set up to go anywhere near 70. 2 cents for a wild guess. Do you have any pics? Does it have cabin? What size props are on it?

That sounds like Dave's boat - Sweet Emotion. Its a 28' LeBear that was built on LI. Not too sure how many were built, but they were pretty light. I had a real 28SS with 300hp/bravo dirive combination which ran around 67. Dave was much faster than me.
