I was in Abiano in the 80's. I still rember seeing Ferrari 208's. 2-litre engines. I asked why- the tax was so high on anything over 2-litre that it was rare to see one of the larger-engoned one's. If a Ferrari buyer can't swing it....
40% on a performance boat- and the gas prices? I don't imagine there's alot of me-too boats at your marina.

1 Gas Lt. it's close to 1.50,00 Euro without taxes...will be 0,53 !!!
1 Diesel Lt. it's close to 1.46,00 Euro
Our regular V.A.T. on cars , goods etc etc it's +20%
ONLY IMPORT FROM U.S.A. it's +40%
If I'll import GLH's boat to Italy , I'll pay +40% on the invoice price .....If he declare 150.000US$ will be $ 60.000 of taxes !!!

Adriatic sea my 38' pay 4500Eu. (7200us$) ALL YEAR + storage in dry from Sept. to 1st May € 1600 ( 2.560 us$)
In Sardinia $ 96,00 x day !!!!
