Bolt on a set of pro chargers set at a modest 6lbs of boost and you'll run low 70's all day with any standard prop setup. Speaking from experience..I have the 95' Cafe for sale here with the flag paint job and procharger setup.

So many thanks for your replies...........

to u all Cigarette lovers

I really appreciate the fact and especially your replies ...

Today i woke up with a new set up in mind ...and thats what i am goin to rig ... Thats a lot better than the 502 s 415HP i had in mind ..YEP

To rig my Cafe Racer 35 with twin 525 s ...and XR Drives with extension boxes ! and with Latham Hydraulic steering ...

.because i confirmed with my mechanic and you were all right regarding the weight of the engines plus boat ..that will be 9400Lbs .fully rigged .....

What i am now sure once again is that i managed to weigh the boat once again and the scale went 5515Lbs .obviously without engines drives and dry from fuel...Beleive me guys ...

What would you expect as top speed now ??? with 525 s with less than 150 hours on them with XR Drives with extension ???

and what props would match this set up....

Thanks Clyde ...

The Cafe I had a ways back had 415 HP Mag MPI502's in it.

The best result i got was running labbed 4 blade Spinelli Props (BTW they are not made anymore) If i recall they were 24".

I also had Merc 3 Blade 23" but those were slower and did not get on plane as well.

Boat ran 68 mph at the fastest.

If your boat is originally a TRS boat, I'd look at Konrads before going to the major surgery of re-rigging to Bravos.

On extension boxes, I'd want to talk to at least a person or two before putting them on any boat. They may or may not give you speed increases but they may also give you some negative ride and handling traits. I've heard tell of guys picking up incurable porpoising. It's also going to drastically narrow your knowledge base on prop selection.

The Cafe is a fairly common boat- most of the prop people will be able to ballpark you with a set of props, then swap you into what works best from there.

I figure the cafe with 525 will do 74mph. Not sure if the extention boxs will be a plus or minus to the application. Without the boxs you will probably need a 26 bravo one prop. Just my .02

Hi guys .......many thanks for your massive help....

I am learning so much with your replies ...

All my sincere compliments to your 35 cafe racer .......my friend ... GLH ! ! !

hope i will send you my 35 photos soon when ready .

Now In fact i have to answer DREAMER . yes the engines are 525EFIs with XR Transom Assemlies and with XR upper & Lowers ..

Do you think a 76 to 78 MPH would be in reach for a 35 cafe racer ...with those engines... and set up.

I would say that having a ratio of 1.5 in d drives turning 26 Pitch at 5200rpm ...77mph......why NOT?????

Any guess???

and by the way....... if you have any questions regarding Composites , dont hesitate to ask me , Perhaps i could answer your Quests...

ITS my job and life, I am an importer and wholesaler for the fibreglass industry , from boatbuilders to anyone that uses Composites. ( Resin , Fibreglass etc.etc...)

Thanks

Hej Dreamer......

Why props turning in and not out.whats the benefit of it..!!!!!!!!!!!!

io thought that tunnel boats benefit y turning the props out......and not mono hulls...

Do you lift the bow or the stern by turning in ????
