To me, there are just too many unknowns, not the least of which is how hot do those turbines get and is it hot enough to turn the surrounding fiberglass brittle? I thought that fuel economy on turbines was poor, all this work for just 800hp and maybe 1000lb less weight?
If someone were looking at this as a project boat, you pull the turbines and sell them for what, a few hundred each. 5-8K to fix the hatch and transom. 3-4K to redo the cabin. 5K to rewire and new dash. 3K for cockpit. 30K for a pair of engines and drive rebuild/exchange.
Where are we at now....
46K on the low side and 50K on the high?
Even if you got the boat for 10K, you can easily have more in it than it's worth.
Only way it can be done is if the buyer is an engine builder and can do the wiring himself.
