2004 TS Top Gun
Is that the one where they shot the fuel tank on it and it runs out of gas?

Yup, tied up to it several times......

Great looking cafe and you can see where they patched the "Bullet" holes in the gel.......

Very cool boat.

Yeah my boy Rob has had it since the early 90's. We've had great times on that boat.

A little history of it:

It was originally owned by Don Davis, who was a major Cigarette guy when he was on the lake. They redid the interior and fixed the exterior dings after it's movie parts were complete.

There were actually 3 Cafe's painted with the same design, but only one was used for the movie in the bar escape scene. There were other parts that included the boat, but they were cut out in final editing....just like the new Miami Vice movie let down.....ugh.

Rob bought the boat from Don, after Don had ordered a new Top Gun. (Coincidentally, that Gun is or was, owned by board member "Grimmy" here on OSO "recently") The Cafe only had stock 454's in it when Rob bought it from Don, so he repowered it with 502's immediately, and updated the dash & interior later. It's also one of the VERY few Cafe's with a notched transom.

They never actually "shot" the boat with guns. The holes you see filled in on the stern are from when the boat had a different X-dimention while they tried to dial it in with the notch. The old holes are more visible because the transom is black, and the material used to fill them didn't fade at the same rate as the original.

To this day, Rob has the original build/sales documents from Cigarette. On them, the serial numbers have an asterisk saying "007 movie boat, License to Kill". Pretty cool stuff.

Obviously, Rob has the movie at his lake house rewound to that specific part, so we still watch it from time to time. The best part to us, is when they finally escape, he runs out of gas. He takes this opportunity, in classic 007 fashion, to go ahead and bang the girl. They lean against the dash/steering wheel, and it lets out a "honk" like a car......Hollywood!!

Here's the "actual" boat that was in the movie:

Here's one of the "clones" painted to match. This one I believe has, or had ssm3's and bigger power:
