Default Gas Turbine 31 Bullet/ Why?

Check out the home made extension box/transom. All that trouble and only 400 hp each.

Years ago I was wandering around the city marina in Sarasota .I came upon this old 40 sportfisher with a tarp over the stern and i heard voices .I walked down the dock that said Keep out and poked down to see what was going on under the tarp .Looking up at me was a couple of guys of Cuban descent hooking up some turbines in this old wreck.

That thing has been for sale for years - it looks like a real piece of crap at best. Shame he hacked up a Bullet....

.......

I try to not say many negative things about how someone cares for THEIR stuff........but this is unacceptable. What a mess that boat has become.

I personally like the outdoor wire loop boxes in the cabin. It adds a home-feeling touch to the boat. One would think the person would clean the boat before taking pics and putting it up for sale.

I believe those boxes would be called FADECs. The boxes are probably PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers). Turbines are much harder to control all functions necessary to operate. Several years ago on a job I was working, one went into an overrun condition in a test cell and burned itself up due to one of 2 emergency fuel shutoffs failing. That wasn't cheap!

That boat brings a tear to the eye everytime I see it
