Question Opinions on 31 Bullet

I am looking for opinions on the 31 Bullet. I have never been in one, so can anyone give me an opinion on the performance, the cabin layout, and an overall opinion? From what I understand, it is a heavy 31 so I am guessing it will handle the rough stuff really well, but like most Cigarettes I bet it takes a lot of hp to get it moving fast.

Also, we like to spend the weekend on our boat a lot, so I am wondering how spacious (or not) the cabin/head is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have a 89 bullet that i have had for about 3 years. bought it as a fixer upper and have almost completly restored it(twice)! it is a great riding boat and runs w/ alot of the bigger boys. it does like alot of power. the spec sheet i got stated dry weight as 8800lbs w/ 8'6" beam. top gun is 8' beam. the cabin is adequate. it has an enclosed head w/ elect toilet and sink. galley area w/ cooler and sink w/ pressure water and nice seating area. i have been very happy with mine and would love to talk more with you about it. you can call me at 912-313-8686. russ floyd.

Talking Bullets.

Bn, I dont own a Bullet but I have worked on a few. One customer of mine has a 31 with 502's and TRS, its runs 74 every gay all day in the rough stuff. Have another customer with a 31 with 365's and Bravos run right around the same thing. Of course the Bravo boat is alittle easier to work on. Keep up the search, there great boats.

Default bullet

Check out the guys at Total Marine and Performance, LA. They have a gorgeous bullet for sale. The boat is all white, and has been completely re-rigged. The boat is one of the owners personal boat, and has been done right. All new Gaffrig Gauges, chrome throttles, IMCO Xtreme drives, external steering, K planes. The cabin has air conditioning, shore power, fresh water, enclosed head, and could easily sleep 3-4. For the $$$ you just can't beat the Bullet. This boat w/500HP's supposedly ran 79 MPH. I think it's a 1992. The best thing is, it has no power, so you can pick your speed, and price. They want 55,000 w/o engines.
I tried to buy the boat, but had trouble with the bank. If you are looking for a Bullet, this is the one.

Talk to Stephen, 985-649-9888.

Ya, I did a search on "Total Marine and Performance" and came up with that pic too. I am hoping that that picture was taken before the boat was redone.

That picture was of the boat before it was redone. The boat is now solid white, all Gel coat. The entire dash and interior has been updated to white, as well as all the handrails, vents, etc. The boat is immaculate, and all hardware is new. Our website is under construction, but interested parties can e mail me for pictures. [email protected]. Please feel free to call me with any questions.

bn,
I had a bullet and found the boat to be very solid. The cabin is large for a 31. I had a pair of SC 502’s that dynoed at 550 HP. Boat would run 78.4 on GPS in fresh water. The new owner put on new bravo’s with low water pickups and supposedly picked up 4 mph. The bullet is very unique in it’s appearance.

Can anyone that knows the 31 Bullet and the 31 Sonic tell me how they compare in size of cabin, cockpit, and overall size? How about a 32 Active Thunder?

I have friends with the 31 Sonics and a 32 AT, but I have never seen a 31 Bullet.

BTW thanks Brad for the picture. I actually called on your (old) boat a couple of years ago when Martin Marine was selling it.
