I took a hard look at that boat and even filled out an offer on it. I never sent the offer in because I ended up buying a locally owned gladiator instead. Here is what I was told about that Playboy as best to my memory and knowledge. It was purchased through Ocean Performance in Old Saybrook for a guy named Benedict. He procharged it and had a bunch of problems with drives and even popped one of the motors. I talked to the mechanic that did the work and he said all the problems were fixed before the boat left their dealership. He personally was on the boat doing a 103 mph. It later spent some time in Boston where we had some discussion about it at length regarding barnicles. I saw the boat in person a few years back when it was in Old Saybrook and I loved it. For the right money I would still buy that boat.

This Playboy is also available AFAIK:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cigar...ayphotohosting

I contacted the seller asking about the reserve which was obviously not met....He said he is asking $120k but would consider any reasonable offer....
