Default Need help finding a cabin door latch.

I've checked West Marine, Lip Ship, and several other options with no luck. I know these things are out there somewhere. I've seen them, just can't remember where.

I'm quite sure someone will reply in about two seconds with a link making me look like an idiot as usual. For the record, I'm ok with that.

Boat is a 1973 Cig 28SS. Most of you know the boat. Help me keep her looking good for the next owner.

Here is a pic of that latch.

Low and behold I find them a few minutes after posting this thread.

I would rather get them from West Marine anyway. I need to place an order with them for some other stuff and would like to get it all in one place.

Thank you for the heads up.

If you google search "perko 1108dp0chr" you will see westmarine, amazon, etc. have them.

My man! That's it. Although I like the price of the one I found a LOT better. Oh well, nothing but the best for her I guess.

I'll keep this thread up so I can find the part again next week when I go to order.

here is a tip, when you go to west marine, set up a "shore" account, using your business info...the discounts are quite dramatic

Carefull with those latches Bucko, that same style latch locked me in the cabin with no one around and my phone sitting on the truck seat. Getting out was interesting with no deck hatches.

Tony, you just made my day with that story.

Fortunately I have deck hatches and I'm never in the cuddy without the doors open too. I'd be lying if I didn't say I've wanted to throw the cabin door across the lake every time the damn thing falls and hits me in the head due to that piece of chit spring holding it up.
