I had a 20 with a TRS and a 454/365 it had a 23 pitch 3 blade cleaver and it worked great. With another 60 HP I would start with a 24 pitch 4 blade.

If you go larger in prop size, it will pull the RPM down. I have a 23 Pitch cleaver if you want to try it. It was an identical spare to my old boat and worked great. The valve covers said 365 HP, but it could have been a higher horse engine because it ran really well.

Hello again Barry, was your old boat a cigarette 20 and did it have the stock TRS drive? Also what's the price? Thanks for all your help, David

Yes David, it was a 1979 Cigarette with a stock TRS. I paid $150.00 plus shipping, I'd like to recoup that if you think it's a fair price.

Barry, sounds like a fair price. Let me do some research and see if that's what I want. What were you turning in RPM and speed? Thanks again for your help, it's greatly appreciated. By the way beautiful boat. David...

It's been a while, so numbers evade me. I'd say we were in the 70's. My engine builder was with me, we were surprised how fast we were going, like, this thing is not supposed to be this fast.
