Default Bullet X dimintion

At this point in my build it won't coast me much more to rais my X on the boat. It's a 88 bullet with a factory notch. Keeping the TRS drives for the trans. I like the way boats handle with trans in them. What is the typical gain if it's raised. I'll have to make a new hatch also, motors will be to tall.

I'm not positive but I don't believe swapping to bravos would effect cog that bad, you'd be removing the weight of the transmissions and going to lighter drives. I'd like to see some actual weights and scaling.
But to answer you're actual question I believe a trs is 24.25" input to propshaft, so an x dimension of 20.25" will put the propshaft 4" below the bottom and well with a bravo 1 prop

Have you done it? Haven't seen any bravo boat, ESP one with a notched transom hard to get on plane at that height.

Ahh I see, what props? Good info. They must be pretty bow heavy. Guess 5" will be better which is most likely less than inch above stock.

It be cool to see a Bullet rigged with #4 or #5 SSM drives. Lots of 33 powerplays 33 cougars, and other similar hulls ran them. Keep the engines low for balance. Start high and space down as needed. Put some 750's in it. It be a cool thread!

No doing lots of work to the boat and while it's getting glass done thought it would be woth checking into. A Konrad 540 with a shorty would be my only other option but don't have 20k for that full Konrad set up. I did pass on a set of #3 for it. That would have been fun.

That's not a factory notch on that boat. I am not even sure if they had a notch available in 88. The original owner had it put in after a fork lift driver at High and Dri in Pompano put a fork through it. He said afterwards it gave the boat a little hop but he gained some mph out it.
