Come in to the dock HOT, slam into reserve, Rob grabs the bow rope, back of boat already swinging way out. Now Rob can``t hold on to the rope .. ties it to dock ... FULL reverse to swing stern back to dock. Sucess!

3 hours later, pitch dark following Rob back to the launch at 11pm with big water all I could see was his stern light, it would disappear and pop back up all I kept thinking is I don`t wanna lose him but I don`t wanna go too fast where if he stops or breaks down I end up on his hatch. We got in no issues except you never knew when a wave would come across the bow
Put the boat on the trailer fix the trim indicator clamp that made me think I lost a drive in Lake Erie somehere, luckily it was still all there.

Get back on the water to find Cedar point alone, with no knowledge of the area, dark as hell, bouncing around like a cork in the sea, had to stay on plane and get on top of the waves, I knew there was a shipping lane somewhere with all kinds of markers in the water , shallow spots, and some big old Titanic sinking concrete channel markers, Navionics on the fritz, the map spinning around in cicles couldn`t lock onto a GPS signal. Useless.

I think I see the Cedar Point amusement rides lit up in the distance.. head for that. Get about 20 yards away to realize it`s a huge ship with a lit up conveyor belt not an amusement park ride!!.. $HIT! now I`m too close to shore! Change directions pronto.

Somehow I made it in safe and sound.

Yeah that was great!!! lol

Was just gonna hit the like button on this post but I may actually have a nightmare or two after reading it so no I really don't like it. Glad you made it in ok I hate boating in the dark. Makes it feel like your bow is 100' long trying to look over it to see what your about to hit

30 Hours with the short season around Lake Erie, is some good boating. I didn't do that number and I had no mechanical hold-ups!
