End of season is here..... not bad overall I guess .....
As we all know I started off rough with lifter and head issues, got that all taken care of, the new 540's been absolutely problem free since besides what seems to be ignition issue last couple weeks, went out tuning carbs and trying to find low rpm stumble and got 73.3 with starboard at 5500, port 5300, 25 Mirage plus, so there is issue to find but air fuels look great averaging 12.2:1 all across the board.... I do have a ding o=in left prop, and left drive has nosecone and the right does not now (spare) with my buddys labbed 23 Mirage I saw 73.2@5900 engines even....
then I went in some more fun water found a nice wave and popped a trans, I was on borrowed time with stock 72C and 540's anyway so I laughed and came in on one engine, I have a set of Hubers going in this winter now....
Plans as of now is to do the Hubers, pulling both engines, dyno them now that I have time and should have more money in a few months, build a new RT TRS and still have spares because I know I'm gonna break them.... lab my 25 plus's....
clean up some small stuff while engines will be out..
all in all I can't complain too much I had nearly 3 months of problem free boating and 30 ish hours of time on engines with zero issues and I run them HARD...
this will be my winter update thread for me to post any cool stuff or bad things I find, I know the engines run good so that's a huge plus, guess I can build engines afterall..... some would not agree... fuk them though.

First day there; crazy wind howling across lake, make it to Casino but pull into marina next door, realize there`s no way I can pull into a slip with that wind pushing the boat around like a ragdoll. 2500 rpm turn around procedure to get the hell out that place. Rob waves me over to Casino..
Come in to the dock HOT, slam into reserve, Rob grabs the bow rope, back of boat already swinging way out. Now Rob can``t hold on to the rope .. ties it to dock ... FULL reverse to swing stern back to dock. Sucess!
3 hours later, pitch dark following Rob back to the launch at 11pm with big water all I could see was his stern light, it would disappear and pop back up all I kept thinking is I don`t wanna lose him but I don`t wanna go too fast where if he stops or breaks down I end up on his hatch. We got in no issues except you never knew when a wave would come across the bow
Put the boat on the trailer fix the trim indicator clamp that made me think I lost a drive in Lake Erie somehere, luckily it was still all there.
Get back on the water to find Cedar point alone, with no knowledge of the area, dark as hell, bouncing around like a cork in the sea, had to stay on plane and get on top of the waves, I knew there was a shipping lane somewhere with all kinds of markers in the water , shallow spots, and some big old Titanic sinking concrete channel markers, Navionics on the fritz, the map spinning around in cicles couldn`t lock onto a GPS signal. Useless.
I think I see the Cedar Point amusement rides lit up in the distance.. head for that. Get about 20 yards away to realize it`s a huge ship with a lit up conveyor belt not an amusement park ride!!.. $HIT! now I`m too close to shore! Change directions pronto.
Somehow I made it in safe and sound.
Yeah that was great!!! lol
