OK this is a not a performance boat

We had a 1976 Browning Mustang II with a 165 hp Mercruiser that mom and dad purchased new. EVERYTHING except the carpet and 1 prop along with routine maintenance items (oil, impeller) was original. We sold the boat in 2013 and it had about 650 hours total -- NEVER burned a drop of oil and there was never any engine issues. We were anal in regards to maintenance. In fact the trailer had the or original tires on it when we sold it -- they was a little weather checking but since the trailer and for that matter the boat was stored in a garage very close to the lake year round it was never in the sun.

We have since purchased a 226 Cobalt - and if we keep as good of care as the Mustang II we plan on using it for a VERY long time.

Bought my 10 meter November 1996 and just let it go this past May , just shy of 20 years. Know that thing intimately from beak to prop shaft nuts. 6 engines, 3 drives , interior and too much more to list or remember. Was a great boat and a lot of good memories ( and some not so good ones ).

Had my 38 for 16 years now, it was a trs, 525 hawk boat. Still love to run it. I guess you could say it took 14 years to dial it in.

Bought our 1978 Caribbean 26 Day Cruiser 16 years ago. New upholstery and seats. Soggy transom done about eight years ago. Twin small blocks, Edelbrock intake and exhaust. Edelbrock made aluminum exhaust back then. Pretty much original 'till valve job last April. Runs close to 60. Heavy old boat but we love it. By the way I turned 78 last March, but still like to let all out once in awhile. Will be at Toy Run in Palatka in Dec.

Not really a performance boat but,

In 1989 my Dad bought our first boat (17ft lund tyee) I grew up fishing in that boat. He still owns it same motor (135hp mercury black max) same trailer, 2nd kicker, and 2nd trolling motor. Its the boat I learned on. Its been a few yrs since I have been in the boat but the last time it had 335hrs on it. Spent a lot of time trolling and casting in that boat. Still looks brand new too not a scratch on her, dad takes really good care of his stuff.

My husband (thrillseeker) bought his 28' at 19 (I think, 20 max) and he's almost 34 now. We've thought about selling it but neither one of us can bear to part with it.
