Default What drives would you get?

Ive got 1300 hp to think about. twin merlins 650 each. i have old trs drives on there now im thinking about #3s what do you guys think.its a cafe racer i know im not going bigger with the power, but the engines are 2 yrs old and just want to update with the corret drives.

If your going to change drives you might as well go with SSM 3A's. That way if you decide to put some more power to it later you will have some room to work with. At 650 a side you should have good reliability with 3A's.

It will also make it more attractive to future potential buyers when you inevitably just have to have that bigger boat.

Go for the speedmasters. Also upgrade the transmissions.

The boat has some weight to it,so go with 3a's.I,ve got
650hp with 3a's and have never had a problem.Also there are plenty of parts for 3a's,bravos are cheaper but they will break,I tried that before-no way!

Yes, check out the Konrad thread in GD.

The Konrad 540 High Performance is a direct bolt on the the TRS transom assy. It is warranteed to 740 ft lbs torque. Plus they are 1.5" shorter than a TRS.

I spent about an hour on the phone with Ken Konrad last week. He has these things working very well.I'm seriously looking into a pair for my boat this season.

Retail for the drive only is @8k ready to bolt up to your TRS transom assembly
